For the last two years Steve Reicher and Alex Haslam have co-authored a regular column in The Psychologist, the official magazine of the British Psychological Society. Titled 'Real World', this aims to discuss topical issues through the lens of contemporary psychological research. After several requests from readers, and in agreement with The Psychologist, we now plan to publish this column simultaneously on this website as part of an ongoing blog, with the goal of promoting informed debate about psychology and society.
